Fire crews have been called to a fire at a multi-storey car park at Aintree University Hospital, Lower Lane, Fazakerley, Liverpool. Crews were alerted at 11.25am and on scene at 11.30am, with three fire engines and an aerial appliance in attendance.
Crews arrived to find three vehicles involved in fire on the second floor of a multi-storey car park. The fire was rapidly extinguished by 11.45am by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using two hose reel jets and a main branch hose.
Firefighters remained at the scene to monitor for hot spots and check the floors above and below the incident. Fire Service personnel used electric industrial fans to clear the area of smoke, before leaving at 12.44.
