Location: King Street, Garston
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service is currently in attendance on King Street, Garston.
Crews were alerted at 8.34pm and on scene at 8.40pm. One fire engine is in attendance.
On arrival crews found there had been a fire involving an electrical substation.
Firefighters have put a cordon in place around the area. Scottish Power are also in attendance and are working to isolate the unit.
No persons are believed to be involved.
A number of homes in the area are currently without power as a result of the incident.
Fire crews remain on scene and are liaising with Scottish Power.
