Fire in shop, Seaforth

Firefighters attended a fire at a three storey property on Sandy Road, Seaforth, on Friday 2nd August.

Crews were alerted at 4.30pm and on scene at 4.35pm. Two fire engines attended.

On arrival crews found a fire in the kitchen of the ground floor shop.

Crews gained entry to the property, with firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

The kitchen suffered serious damage by fire, with the remainder of the ground floor severely damaged by smoke.

Three unoccupied flats above the property suffered light smoke damage.

No one was injured in the incident. It is believed the fire started accidentally.

Firefighters left the scene at 6.28pm.
