Fire crews have been called to a fire at student accommodation in Grove Street, Liverpool L7 this evening.
Crews were alerted at 5.44pm and on scene at 5.49pm, with four fire engines and an aerial appliance in attendance.
Crews arrived to find a fire at a third floor flat with two firefighters entering the flat wearing breathing apparatus and fighting the fire with a high pressure hose reel.
A full evacuation of the building has taken place. Police are in attendance and are assisting by managing traffic at the scene.
The fire has been extinguished as at 6.04pm and the property is in the process of being ventilated to clear smoke.
