Fire crews have been called to a fire in a flat on Albion Street, Liverpool L5, this morning.
Crews were alerted at 11.52am and on scene at 11.58am. 3 fire engines are in attendance.
Crews arrived to find a first floor flat involved in fire, 4 firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the flat and began to fight the fire with high pressure hose reels while searching the flat for occupants.
One occupant of the flat was suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation and given oxygen on scene by firefighters before being treated by paramedics from North West Ambulance Service.
The fire was extinguished by 12.10pm and firefighters ventilated the property.
