Flat Fire, Seymour Street, Liverpool

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended an incident on Seymour Street, Liverpool, on Monday 31st March.

Crews were alerted at 11.59 and on scene at 12.03, with five fire engines and one aerial appliance attending.

This was a confirmed flat fire, located to the second floor of the premises. Two firefighters in breathing apparatus (BA) were committed under rapid deployment to prevent escalation.

A total of six firefighters in BA were committed - four fighting the fire with two main branches, and two searching to ensure a full evacuation of the building.

Full search and evacuation was completed, and roll call conducted by Fire Service personnel.

The responsible persons for the building were notified and attended scene shortly after.

The fire was extinguished at 12.51, with ventilation in progress thereafter. Crews left the scene at 14.32.
