Location: Princes Road, Toxteth
Firefighters are currently in attendance on Princes Road, Toxteth.
Crews were alerted at 12.45pm and on scene at 12.49pm. Three fire engines are in attendance.
On arrival crews found a fire in the living room of a top floor flat to be well alight.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and extinguished the fire using a high pressure hose reel. Crews also checked the remainder of the flats for signs of fire spread.
One person has been taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
Crews remain on scene.
An investigation into the cause of the fire will be carried out in due course.
