Flat Fire, Tranmere

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident on Derby Road, Tranmere on the morning of Saturday 30th August.


Crews were alerted at 08.33 and on scene at 08.37 with four fire engines and one aerial appliance attending at the height of the incident.


This was in response to reports of a flat fire above a café. Two firefighters were committed under rapid deployment to firefight and search the property.


One occupant was rescued from the flat, MFRS crews administered first aid before conveying the casualty into the care of North West Ambulance Service. The casualty was then taken to hospital for further treatment.


Firefighters continued to search the remainder of the premises, with all persons accounted for. The fire was extinguished shortly after.


Crews made up their equipment and left the scene at 11.40.
