Location: Haydock
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended an incident in the vicinity of Sankey Valley Park, Quayle Close, Haydock, on the afternoon of Sunday 16th March.
Crews were alerted at 16.16 and on scene at 16.40, with one fire engine attending.
On arrival this was an area of scrubland involved in fire approximately 60 metres by 30 metres.
Firefighters worked hard to prevent fire spread and extinguished the fire shortly after. Crews damped down the affected area and left the scene at 17.17.
