Fire crews have been called to a high rise fire on Vine St., Liverpool L7 this afternoon.
Crews were alerted at 3.14pm and on scene at 3.19pm.
Five fire engines and an aerial appliance are in attendance. On arrival crews found a fire on a fifth floor balcony of the seven-floor building. Firefighters are fighting the fire externally with a hose reel jet and have gained access to the adjoining flat and balcony from within. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus have been deployed.
Fire crews are extinguishing the balcony fire and checking for any fire spread.
The incident is ongoing.
