High Rise Flooding Incident Liverpool City Centre

Fire crews are in attendance at a significant domestic flooding incident at a high rise building at Silkhouse Court, Tithebarn St., Liverpool City Centre. The building has been evacuated. 

Crews were alerted at 16.34 and on scene at 16.40. Three fire engines are in attendance. Crews arrived to find a 15 storey building with a burst water main on the 12th floor causing flooding of multiple apartments and communal areas, affecting floors from the ground to the 12th floor. Crews are working to minimise damage from the leak, have isolated the electrics and water and are evacuating large numbers of residents for their safety. Fire crews are also conducting a full safety audit of all floors and apartments. There are not thought to be any injuries to anyone involved at this time.
