Location: Tranmere, Wirral
Fire crews were called to a house fire on Fountain Street, Tranmere in the early hours of this morning, 22nd December. Crews were alerted at 3.09am and on scene at 3.12am, with three fire engines in attendance.
Crews arrived to find the top floor of a three storey end terraced house well alight. Two firefighters entered the house under rapid deployment procedures and began to search the area and fight the fire with hose reel jets, increasing shortly after to four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.
The main body of fire was extinguished by 3.37am and crews continued to damp down the area and check for hotspots. Occupants of the house were all accounted for, with no injuries. Fire crews left the scene at 7.04am.
