Location: Kirkby, Knowsley
Fire crews have been called to a fire involving articulated lorries at an industrial park in Pingwood Lane, Tower Hill, Kirkby. Crews were alerted at 11.18pm and on scene at 11.26pm, with 5 fire engines in attendance.
Crews arrived to find 7 articulated lorries well alight and began fighting fire with high pressure hose reel jets.
As part of normal operational procedure and mutual suport agreements one of the fire engines attending is from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.
The number of vehicles involved is now 10, with fire crews using main jets and hose reel jets to contain the fire.
Residents and businesses in the area should keep doors and windows closed. People with an existing health condition should keep medicines close and if any ill effects are experienced dial NHS 111 for advice.
The incident is ongoing.

The main seats of fire have now been extinguished and fire crews are now checking for hot spots and damping down as required.
