Location: Hatton Garden, Liverpool City Centre
Firefighters are currently in attendance at a kitchen fire in a high rise block of flats in Hatton Garden, Liverpool City Centre.
Crews were alerted at 2.44pm and on scene at 2.52pm. Five fire engines are in attendance as well as the combined platform ladder.
On arrival crews found a fire in the kitchen of a flat on the sixth floor of the building.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property under rapid deployment to prevent further escalation. Crews used a CO2 extinguisher as well as the dry riser to tackle the fire.
The fire has been extinguished and crews are using a positive pressure fan to ventilate the property. Firefighters are carrying out checks of the surrounding flats.
