Location: Preston New Road, Southport
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called to a road traffic collision on Preston New Road, Southport, on Friday 16th April.
Crews were alerted at 7.58am and on scene at 8.02am. Two fire engines attended.
On arrival crews found a collision involving three vehicles.
Crews removed the roof of one of the vehicles to release one person who was trapped inside. They were then handed into the care of North West Ambulance Service and taken to hospital for further assessment.
Two other people were assessed at the scene by paramedics but did not require hospital treatment.
Fire crews left the scene at 9.01am.
