One person released from vehicle, Billinge

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called to Rainford Road, Billinge, on Thursday 29th July following reports of a collision.

Crews were called shortly after 7.30pm and two fire engines were sent to the scene as well as the search and rescue appliance.

On arrival crews found two vehicles had been involved in a collision. One of the vehicles was on its roof, with one person still inside. Two other people had self-extricated from the vehicle when crews arrived.

Crews removed the door of the vehicle and used a longboard to remove the person from the vehicle. They were then handed into the care of North West Ambulance Service and taken to hospital for further assessment.

Fire crews left the scene at 8.48pm.

Merseyside Police also attended and assisted with road closures.
