Location: Anfield, Liverpool
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) are in attendance at an incident on the corner of Empress Road, Anfield, Liverpool, on the afternoon of Wednesday 15 July.
Crews were alerted at 13.48 and on scene at 13.55, with two fire engines and the search and rescue team attending.
On arrival this was a partial building collapse. The premises has been evacuated, and all persons have been accounted for.
The property above, as well as neighbouring properties have also been evacuated.
Merseyside Police are also in attendance to assist with traffic management, with road closures in place.
A structural engineer, and utility companies have been requested.
UPDATE – 11.20AM Thursday 16 July
Multi agency meetings took place with Police, Fire, Cadent, Scottish Power, and a Council Structural Engineer.
The utilities to the building have been isolated and the incident handed over to the Council, who will arrange road closure and for the building to be made safe.
