Location: Green Lane, Quarry Road, Thornton
Firefighters were called to the junction of Green Lane and Quarry Road, Thornton, on Thursday 30th January following reports of a road traffic collision.
Crews were alerted at 7.12pm and on scene at 7.15pm. Two fire engines attended as well as the search and rescue team.
On arrival crews found two vehicles had been involved in a collision. Both vehicles were on all four wheels. One person was trapped inside one of the vehicles.
Firefighters removed the roof of one of the car and worked with paramedics to release the casualty from the car using a longboard.
The casualty was then taken to hospital for further assessment.
Fire crews left these scene at 8.11pm.
