Location: Merton Bank Road, St Helens
Firefighters were called to Ravenhead Greenway, Merton Bank Road, St Helens, on Sunday 1st March after reports of a person stuck in mud.
Crews were alerted at 3.12pm and on scene at 3.17pm. Two fire engines attended.
On arrival crews found one person stuck up to their waist in mud.
Firefighters wearing water rescue kit were deployed on swim lines and released the person from the mud.
Paramedics assessed the person but they were uninjured and did not require hospital treatment.
Crews left the scene at 3.47pm.
