Person trapped, Walton

Fire crews have been called to assist North West Ambulance and Merseyside Police at an incident in Wadeson Road in Walton, Liverpool this afternoon.

Crews were alerted at 3.22pm and on scene at 3.27pm, with two fire engines and the search and rescue team in attendance. Crews arrived to find a casualty had become partially impaled on a garden railing.

Crews liaised with NWAS paramedics on scene to establish the best way forward to remove the conscious and breathing casualty from the railing.

While the casualty was administered pain relief by a paramedic, the casualty was released from the railings and into the care of paramedics for onward transport to hospital. Crews left the scene at 3.38pm.
