Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service is currently in attendance at an incident on Riversdale Road, Liverpool, following reports of a casualty in difficulty on an embankment.
Two fire engines, the search and rescue team (SRT), and the Marine Fire One boat attended alongside Merseyside Police, Coastguard and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
Crews arrived to find one casualty unresponsive on the embankment. A RAG system was set up gain access through mud and two firefighters and members of the HART team tended to the casualty. SRT set up a tripod system which was used to raise the casualty back to land on a stretcher.
The casualty was then conveyed to hospital by NWAS.
Crews are preparing to leave the scene.
