Location: Liverpool City Centre
Fire crews were called to a Road Traffic Collision(RTC) this afternoon on Flint Street, Liverpool L1. Crews were alerted at 2.21pm and on scene at 2.25pm with two fire engines and the search and rescue team in attendance.
Crews arrived to find a collision involving four vehicles, all on all four wheels. North West Ambulance Service(NWAS) arrived quickly and began to assess the occupant of a vehicle who was trapped in one of the vehicles. The occupant of a second vehicle was out of the vehicle and was also being assessed by NWAS.
The other two vehicles involved were both stationary vehicles, the occupants of which were unharmed. The occupant trapped in the vehicle was removed quickly via a rear window of the vehicle by firefighters into the care of NWAS using a longboard to receive urgent care and immediate transport to hospital for further treatment.
The occupant of the second vehicle received treatment for minor injuries from the second ambulance crew at the scene.
Firefighters made the scene safe and handed the scene over to Merseyside Police before leaving at 3.34pm.’
