Road traffic collision, M53, Storeton, Wirral

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident between junction 3 and 4 of the M53, Storeton, Wirral, on the morning of Saturday 22 November.

Crews were alerted at 10.49 and on scene at 10.53 with two fire engines and the search and rescue team attending.

On arrival, this was a two-vehicle road traffic collision (RTC), both vehicles involved were on all four wheels.

Vehicle one consisted of one occupant who was able to leave the car unaided and was assessed at scene by North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).

Five occupants from vehicle two were out of the car prior to fire service attendance and no injuries were reported. They were advised to self-present at their local hospital should they develop any symptoms of injury.

NWAS Paramedics then conveyed the occupant of vehicle one to hospital for further observations.

Merseyside Police and National Highways also attended and liaised regarding vehicle recovery.

MFRS crews made up their equipment and left the scene at 11.30.
