Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended an incident on Boundary Street on the junction of Vauxhall Road, Liverpool, on the morning of Tuesday 1st April.

Crews were alerted at 09.29 and on scene at 09.40, with two fire engines attending.

This was a one vehicle road traffic collision (RTC) with a traffic light at the junction, the vehicle was on all four wheels and the occupant was conscious and breathing with no apparent injuries.

Merseyside Police attended to assist with traffic management and liaise with the Council regarding traffic light damage.

Fire crews made the scene safe and assisted Police clearing the vehicle from the traffic light.

The traffic lights at this junction are no longer working and Police are keeping this section of Vauxhall Road closed until Council representatives and vehicle recovery arrives.
