Location: Hightown, L38
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident on Thornbeck Avenue, Hightown, on the evening of Tuesday 14 July.
Crews were alerted at 20.12 and on scene at 20.22, with three fire engines attending at the height of the incident.
On arrival this was fire involving sand dunes. Firefighters used two high pressure hose reel jets and beaters to tackle the fire.
At 22.44 the fire was extinguished.
MFRS crews and relief crews continued to hotspot and damp down the affected area through the night. Firefighters remain at scene this morning to make the scene safe.
