Location: Holt Road, Liverpool
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service are in attendance at an incident on Holt Road, Liverpool.
Crews were alerted at 17.18 and on scene at 17.23. Two fire engines attended initially, with a total of five in use at the height of the incident for breathing apparatus and personnel.
This was a 3 storey building consisting of a ground floor shop and first and second floor flats.
On arrival crews were met with a fire approximately 10m x 10m on the ground floor. Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the premises with hose reel jets. The fire was extinguished shortly after, however heavy smoke logging was present.
United Utilities and Scottish Power have been requested.
All persons have been accounted for following a full search of the property and the incident is now being scaled down to 3 fire engines.
Merseyside Police are also in attendance to assist with traffic management.
