Location: Belvedere Road, Liverpool
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended an incident on the morning of Friday 8th December.
Crews were alerted at 09.07 with two fire engines on scene at 09.11.
On arrival, there was no immediate signs of smoke or fire. Merseyside Police also attended and informed Fire Service personnel of a strong smell of gas.
A full evacuation of the premises took place, while firefighters were in the process of isolating gas, Cadent engineers arrived on scene shortly after.
Crews continued to gas monitor and conducted a thorough search of the buildings and grounds before handing over to the appropriate person.
Cadent have carried out a full investigation and a local gas company will carry out repairs.
Crews left the scene at 10.52.
