Location: Town Lane Kew, Southport
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident on Town Lane Kew, Southport, on the morning of Wednesday 17th September.
Crews were alerted at 11.29 and on scene at 11.41 with two fire engines attending.
This was in response to reports of steam or smoke issuing from the roof of the building.
On arrival, crews made their way to the roof to investigate. On closer inspection this was a burst water main for the heat ventilation system.
Fire Service personnel shut off the water supply and isolated the electrics to the system.
MFRS crews liaised with onsite responsible person and advised to have the affected area checked by a qualified engineer before reinstating the electrics.
An external handover was then completed and firefighters left scene at 12.58.
