Location: Old Hall Street, Liverpool City Centre
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident on Old Hall Street, Liverpool, on Monday 30th June.
Crews were alerted at 11.13 and on scene at 11.19 with one fire engine and the search and rescue team attending.
On arrival this was one decorative metal cladded wall, approximately eight metres x 20 metres leaning at an estimated five degree angle in the direction of a public footpath.
MFRS crews liaised with the site manager, who attempted to contact with a structural engineer.
Fire Service personnel cordoned off the footpath, Merseyside Police were then requested to manage the cordon and assist with traffic management.
Police arrived shortly after and implemented a 10m inner cordon, with access to the path now out of bounds. A road closure on Old Hall Street in the vicinity of the unstable structure was also put in place.
Crews handed over to the responsible person, and the management company was advised to arrange repair immediately. Police are managing cordons until the structure is made safe.
MFRS personnel left the scene at 12.53.
