Location: Dowhills Road, Blundellsands, Sefton
Fire crews were called to a fire at a house in Dowhills Road, Blundellsands on Monday, 4th May.
Crews were alerted at 9.14am and on scene at 9.20am. Two fire engines attended.
Crews arrived to find a fire in the utility room of a detached property.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and extinguished the fire with a high pressure hose reel jet. The property was then ventilated.
The fire is believed to have involved a disused barbecue.
The utility room was damaged by fire and smoke and the rest of the ground floor was lightly damaged by smoke.
Firefighters left the scene at 9.56am.
