Location: M6 Northbound between Junctions 23 and 24
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended an incident on the M6 northbound between junctions 23 and 24 on Wednesday 7th May.
Crews were alerted at 16.24, with two fire engines on scene shortly after.
On arrival, firefighters found one van involved in fire. The driver was out of the vehicle prior to fire service attendance.
One firefighter wearing breathing apparatus (BA) extinguished the fire using a high-pressure hose reel jet.
Crews then damped down the scene and monitored temperatures before handing over to Highways and leaving at 17.22.
