Wheelie bin fire, Woodchurch, Wirral

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident on Ganneys Meadow Road, Woodchurch, Wirral, on the evening of Sunday 31st August.

Crews were alerted at 19.36 and on scene at 19.42 with three fire engines attending.

This was a fire involving a wheelie bin and main gas intake outside of a two storey mid terrace property.

All persons were out of the property and the fire extinguished prior to Fire Service attendance.

Firefighters monitored the scene with a thermal imaging camera before liaising with a Cadent engineer that attended shortly after. The gas supply to the premises was capped and made safe.

MFRS crews then handed the scene over to Cadent, before leaving at 21.06.
