It is vitally important that the emergency services can continue to offer a good service to the community, even when there are serious disruptions to day to day activity such as floods, severe weather, pandemics, etc. To ensure that this happens the Business Continuity Team produce and test plans for how Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service will continue to function and return to normal operations as quickly as possible.
The Team takes the lead in providing guidance to individual departments on how they can be more resilient and avoid the need to activate their business continuity arrangements.
