The Operational Planning & Policy Team processes operational information and provides this to our staff to ensure their health, safety and welfare. The Team produces both internal and multi agency plans to deal with foreseeable risk to the communities of Merseyside.
The Team has specific responsibility for writing and testing emergency plans, for sites within Merseyside, in accordance with the Regulations for COMAH, MAHP and REPPIR.
The Operational Planning & Policy Team ensures the compliance of Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service Authority with the Civil Contingencies Act and associated Regulations. The Team provides representation on the Merseyside Resilience Forum. For more information on this, please visit the Merseyside Prepared website here.
We liaise with our partner agencies in rail, marine, air, ports, prisons, tunnels and hospitals to produce operational response plans.
The Team works with multi agency partners across Merseyside to assist event organisers in delivering safe events.
