In 2019, MFRS crews attended 1,889 accidental fires and 3,535 deliberate fires across Merseyside.
We utilise appliances that are suitable and relevant to the response required, this can be a fire appliance carrying up to five firefighters, USAR vehicles, rescue boats, aerial appliances and specialist response and support vehicles.
Firefighters train constantly using various firefighting media and methods so they are prepared for all eventualities.
In addition to our standard fire appliances, our combined platform ladder appliances allow crews to tackle fires from above.
