Location: Kirkby, Knowsley
Fire crews have been called to an industrial unit fire at Academy Business Park, Lees Road, Knowsley Industrial Park, Kirkby this morning.
Four fire engines are in attendance.
Crews were alerted at 4.37am and on scene at 4.42am.
Crews arrievd to find a 20 x 20 metre corrugated unit well alight and immediately began fighting the fire with high pressure hose reel jets externally while gaining better access to the building using an angle grinder.
Firefighters quickly gained access, with a team of two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entering the building to fight fire within with a high pressure hose reel jet.
UPDATE 5.30AM
Crews have made swift progress and extinguished the fire. They are now venting the building using fans.
