Three people rescued from car stuck in flood water, Queens Drive

Location: Queens Drive, Briardale Road, Liverpool

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called to the junction of Queens Drive and Briardale Road, Liverpool, on Friday 9th August after reports that two cars had become stuck in flood water.

Crews were alerted at 6.26am and on scene at 6.36am. Two fire engines attended as well as the search and rescue appliance.

On arrival crews found two cars stuck in flood water underneath the railway bridge.

One vehicle had been pushed clear of the flood water. All occupants of the vehicle were unharmed.

Fire crews carried three people from the second car to safety. They were also unharmed.

Crews left the scene at 7.40am.
