Merseyside Fire and Rescue Authority are committed to:

  • Jointly working with Local Authorities / partner agencies across Merseyside to implement key recommendations from the Hackitt Review to ensure that safety improvements are made to residential high rise buildings
  • MFRS and Local Authorities are committed to working in partnership to attend joint site visits. Meetings are arranged and conducted with building owners/Managing Agents to ensure Fire Safety provisions are adequate
  • In instances where failures are identified in the external wall make up, MFRS will assess the interim measures implemented and their adequacy and remediation works are completed in a timely manner
  • A coordinated and consistent approach ensures the best outcome for the community and provides reassurance that residential high rise buildings are following the government guidance set out by Ministry of Housing, Communities, and Local Government
